With renovations underway in the showroom, Turning Stone looks forward to the return of the shows

VERONA – Turning Stone Resort Casino released the results of a recent survey of more than 30,000 guests who have attended an event at the resort in the past two years about their willingness to attend concerts and events following COVID. Turning Stone’s Return to Live Survey found that a large majority of people would like to return to live events, mostly in an intimate venue with fewer than 1,000 seats, and would be willing to travel more than 120 miles to see a live event. Key findings from Turning Stone’s survey include:

92% miss attending live entertainment and events.

73% would like to attend live events again.

65% are willing to travel more than 120 miles to attend live events.

76% are looking for live events in intimate locations (up to 1,000 seats).

As an entertainment destination, Turning Stone officials said they were encouraged by the survey results, especially since the resort is before its 28th birthday.

The renovations in the showroom will modernize the look and create a whole new experience in the intimate cabaret-style of the resort, the announcement says, adding the new showroom:

State-of-the-art sound system that offers perfect acoustics for every performance genre;

New contemporary design with dark mahogany wood and deep purple and violet tones;

More than 650 premium stadium-style seats;

Completely new bar in the newly added atrium.

“These survey results are very encouraging as they suggest that our guests are keen to return to live performances that we know are also a major driver of tourism in our area,” said Ray Halbritter, Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Oneida Nation Enterprises CEO. “This is great news for the local music scene in Central New York, too. We take great pride in showcasing local talent at our venues and introducing our guests, who come from across the county, to the best that our region has to offer. ”

Construction of the showroom is expected to be completed later this summer in preparation for reopening for September performances. New shows for The Showroom will be announced shortly.

The new modernized audio system in the showroom will be a L’Acoustics system, a world-famous audio system
Manufacturer who revolutionized acoustic technology for installations in concert halls, performing arts theaters and touring festivals.

Turning Stone will also work with another industry-leading partner to install the state-of-the-art audio and lighting system – ProSound – whose projects range from the world’s most famous performing arts to convention centers.

Turning Stone will continue to announce details of its multi-million dollar investment in the property, including a new buffet concept and renovations to some of the area’s most popular wedding and meeting rooms, in the lead up to its anniversary on July 21st.
