LAKELAND, Fla. – Cakes, platters and balloons.
Publix is a one-stop shop for all your party needs, but for Publix fanatics, you might want to hire a Lakeland mom as your next party planner.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, Kacie Laube described how she hosted the birthday party of her son’s dreams by building a replica Publix store at home. It took months of planning, but Laube and her family were able to pull off something so Florida-adored and even managed to enlist help from their Publix store.
“I couldn’t have done this without the help of Assistant Customer Service Manager Blake Smith of Lake Miriam Publix (Store #356)!” Laube wrote in the Post. “He was so enthusiastic about all my ideas. He got Atticus an official shirt and apron to wear and gave all the children their own name tags.”
Laube’s attention to detail can be seen in all of her photos and said decorating was a family effort.

Her father made an “Aisle 5” sign to represent Atticus’ age in birthday years. As with every store entrance, guests were greeted by a “bath scale” and each child was also given a custom-made apron, both of which Laube attributed to her sister, as well as the Publix logo, bakery and Presto ATM signs.
As for party favors, Laube said she got help from the Publix Employees Federal Credit Union (PEFCU) to set them up with swag bags.
“I’m really blown away by how kind everyone was in making their party what it was,” Laube said.
You can’t throw a party without food, and Laube has made sure to include everything that makes any Publix spread complete – popcorn chicken and Publix subs.
