MANILA, Philippines – Actor and director David Chua defended his boyfriend Kelley Day after he was dragged in as an alleged third party in Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana’s relationship.
in the Philstar.com‘s Slam Book show, David said he was surprised to know Kelly was the alleged third party, as he said the former beauty queen isn’t that type of person.
“Nagulat din ako e. Pero alam kong parang can iba e. Ayaw ko lang pangalanan ‘yung isan girl na umamin na raw. Ewan ko lang kung totoo kasi napanood ko lang online. Pero ang alam ko hindi si Kelly ‘yon,” said David.
“Sa pagkakakilala ko kay Kelly, hindi niya kaya ‘yung mga gano’n. Married na si Tom, ‘di ba? Sa pagkakakilala ko hindi talaga siya ganoon,” added David, who was also linked to Kelley, but clarified that they were just friends.
Last January, Kelley denied that she is the third party involved in the Kapuso couple’s alleged split.
Kelley and Tom worked together on the Kapuso television series The World Between Us.
In her Instagram story, Kelley said she wants to speak up immediately, before the issue gets out of hand.
“Many people are speculating about my involvement in a particular rumor/blind article story that appears to have been circulating today. So before things get too out of hand, I want to clarify that I have no knowledge of/involvement in the controversy,” she wrote.
“I don’t know how or why my name was linked (I’m surprised too), but what I do know is that these allegations against me are false,” she added.
