Walk – don’t run – to Medina’s third annual UNRun

MEDINA, Ohio – The Friends of Medina County District Library invite you to cross the ‘finish line’ of their non-running race for a beer – all in support of a good cause.

The organization’s third annual UNRun event is half a mile away between Sully’s Irish Pub and Lager Heads Brewing Co. & Tasting Room, both on West Liberty Street.

Walkers who make it across the finish line will be rewarded with a beer, compliments from the organization, as well as snacks and a mini beer mug shot glass medal, according to a recent press release.

The event will take place on Saturday 17 September. There are two start times: the first starts at 1pm at Sully’s and the second at 3pm at Lager Heads.

“Participants get the 5K or marathon experience…without sweat or strained Achilles tendons,” said Monica Heath, Friends contact and organizer.

“We’ll have a carb charging station halfway in case anyone needs gas to finish,” she assures potential attendees.

“The UNRun has been one of Friends’ best-received events in recent years. Every $5 we raise helps provide a new book to a child or teen who completes the library’s Summer Reading Game.”

There are only 100 spots available and registrations are expected to be quick. Registration is $40 and includes a t-shirt if registration is received by August 10th.
