The Columbus Marathon will be held directly in 2021

Last year the marathon was canceled due to a coronavirus pandemic.

Columbus, Ohio – Athletes, volunteers, and others have negative evidence of a full vaccination or negative COVID-19 test ahead of the National Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon and 1/2 Marathon next month. Must be shown.

Evidence of vaccination or negative testing applies to athletes, volunteers, event staff and salespeople in “Active Athlete Areas,” including the Health & Fitness Expo, Start / Finish Area and Liquid Station.

Anyone who receives a race number and T-shirt at the Health & Fitness Expo on October 15 and 16 must also present proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test.

A mask order placed by Mayor Andrew Ginther last week requires a mask at the Health & Fitness Expo.

The expo takes place at the Great Columbus Convention Center.

The organizer announced in May that it would host the marathon directly.
