After being closed for several months for renovations, the Lake Geneva Riviera is now open and the city is celebrating this with two events this summer.
Thursday, July 15, is Lake Geneva Day, which includes live music, an open house and a rededication ceremony for the Riviera at 812 Wrigley Drive on Lake Geneva.
A String of Pearls – the great reopening gala for the Riviera – takes place on Saturday, August 28th.
Recently, the Mayoress of Lake Geneva, Charlene Klein, issued a proclamation declaring July 15 to be Lake Geneva Day.
On July 15th, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, the public can visit the newly renovated Riviera Ballroom and shops on the first floor.
The rededication ceremony will take place in the ballroom at 4 p.m.
The celebration will take place in the nearby Flat Iron Park, where Swing Nouveau will perform from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Participation in the Lake Geneva Day activities is free.
For A String Of Pearls, black tie and pearls are admired but not needed.
The gala takes place in the Riviera Ballroom, with cocktails from 5 p.m.
Guests will be seated for dinner at 6.15pm. Dance and dessert follow.
The Glenn Miller Orchestra from New York will perform at the gala.
