The trade fair, event and destination industry continues its recruitment and advertising campaigns with organizations far and wide. Look at her:
National trade fair and event service provider fern hired a veteran of the hospitality industry Angi Van Berg as Senior National Sales Manager.
As part of Fern’s national sales team, Van Berg will focus on business development related to major exhibition and association businesses across North America and will represent Fern at selected industry events. She will join the company on September 13 after a successful 25 year career at Louisville Tourism, where she most recently served as Vice President of Trade Show Sales.
CNTV, a leading full-service production company for the exhibition and event industry Jeff Davis as Chief Sales Officer. As the newest member of the executive team, he will be responsible for driving the next stage in the company’s accelerated growth.
Davis brings over 20 years of experience driving sales and performance to the media and events industry. Most recently, he served as Vice President Sales and Business Development for Informa Markets, where he led sales and customer solutions teams for the company’s extensive event portfolio.
In 2011, Davis moved to Hanley Wood Exhibitions, where he built the group’s digital products and sales and marketing capabilities. After Informa took over Hanley Wood in 2014, he held various sales, strategy and product management roles until 2021.
Twenty year hospitality veteran Erin Keedy has joined that VISIT Milwaukee Sales team as National Account Executive representing VISIT Milwaukee in the Washington, DC market. In her new role, she will work on building strategic partnerships and promoting Milwaukee as an emerging city for meetings and major events.
Keedy has lived in the Washington, DC area for ten years and comes to CVB from Marriott International, where she has held various positions over the past nine years, most recently in the national sales office.
Global experience marketing partner TOTAL started his leadership team with the appointment of Jeff Stelmach as global president, brand experiences. His appointment brings more than 30 years of extensive experience building successful agencies in the event marketing sector and strengthens the company’s growing experience marketing practice.
Stelmach has worked with high level agencies such as Mosaic, Geometry, EMI and Opus, where he was most recently president. He has worked with leading brands such as Samsung, Coca-Cola, Anheuser-Busch and Oracle and is one of only two people in the world to have twice won the coveted Grand Ex Award for the best experience marketing campaign of the year.
The company also recently welcomed Mike Haarvei as Vice President for Customer Relations. He brings over 25 years of leadership, business development and health program management experience to his new role and will lead a sales team tasked with expanding GES’s health care customer base while delivering world-class experience-driven marketing solutions to GES health care customers .
Most recently, Haarvei served as Vice President of Strategic Accounts for Sparks, where he led and managed health program accounts.
Leading company for SaaS-based engagement marketing solutions Banzai Appointed Ashley Levesque as the new Vice President of Marketing. She comes to Banzai from the Demio webinar platform, which the company acquired in February, started as an executive assistant and worked her way up to executive board in just five years.
As a results-driven, impact-driven communications professional, Levesque’s expertise in generating customer success, building marketing organizations from the ground up, and creating energetic, engaging marketing programs will be of great use to complement Banzai’s strategic growth strategy.
Pop culture event organizer LeftField media, a division of Clarion Events, has named an anime industry veteran Lance Heiskell as manager of guests and programs for his Japanese pop culture festivals Anime NYC and Anime Frontier. He will work to enhance the fan experience at the events, including developing new curated content, expanding the list of senior guests, and working closely with anime and manga publishers in the US and Japan to create a richer and deeper one Encourage participation.
Heiskell previously worked at Funimation for 13 years, overseeing strategy and marketing for more than 400 anime titles, and establishing the brand voice of Funimation, emphasizing a direct and active relationship with its loyal audience. He also served as Brand Manager, Marketing Director and Director of Corporate Strategy.
Louisville Tourism has added staff and recently announced several promotions.
Lauren Johnson has been promoted from national sales manager to senior sales manager, who is responsible for booking large trade shows with 801 top hotel rooms and more in the commercial, business and commercial (TBC) segment, including major events such as the Mid-America Trucking Show, GIE + EXPO and Utility Expo . She replaces Angi Van Berg, who retired on July 31st.
Michelle Clark was hired as national sales manager and covers TBC, which needs 800 top hotel rooms or less, as well as the segments Legal / Government, Hobby and Reunion with different top nights. Clark is returning to the Louisville area from Houston, where she held executive positions at Hilton and Hyatt hotels.
Courtney Pickett has been promoted to Convention Sales Manager, responsible for 300 peaks or less for Education, Culture, Unions, Health / Medicine, Science / Technology, Law / Government, Public Affairs, and Wedding Sales.
Promotion to Convention Sales Coordinator, Morgan Kemmeling will support CVB’s sales administration team, senior vice president of convention development and one of the organization’s senior sales managers.
Additionally, Mallory Cappelli has returned to the Louisville Tourism Team as Convention Sales Assistant after previously serving in this role and as a Convention Sales Manager, and Zoey Well has also taken on a position as a sales assistant for conventions after previously doing an internship.
Provider of digital experience and virtual event platforms BeyondLive recently welcomed Nadav Shifman as Business Development Director, responsible for building a nationwide team to develop and maintain customer relationships. Based in Austin, Texas, Nadav is a accomplished business development executive with over 15 years of dedicated experience in consulting sales, event technology platforms, and SaaS sales.
Event engagement platform provider handle Appointed Wayne Crawford as Vice President Account Management. With more than 30 years of management and leadership experience in the events industry as an organizer and technology supplier, Crawford will work to expand the company’s US operations. He is actively involved in industry organizations, boards and committees and is a frequent speaker at industry events.
Reno Sparks Convention and Visitors Bureau
the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Bureau (RSCVA) recently announced two major promotions for its marketing and finance teams.
With more than a decade of experience in brand development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies for the Reno Tahoe region, Christina Erny was promoted from Director of Marketing to Vice President of Marketing. She is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives and overseeing programs related to integrated marketing, research, advertising, media buying and negotiation, official publications and collateral materials, web strategy, social media and event marketing, and running day-to-day operations. the day-to-day business of the marketing and communications teams.
Courtney Hunter has been promoted to Vice President of Finance responsible for overseeing the budgeting, financial reporting, cash management, treasury functions, capital projects and debt management of the RSCVA. She will also oversee compliance with CVB laws and regulations and manage multiple operational areas including accounting, room tax collection, human resources, payroll, IT and purchasing. As a licensed public accountant, Jaeger joined the RSCVA as Finance Director in August 2020 and brings more than a decade of management experience in finance, accounting and auditing at the local level to her position.
