Drinks will be flowing and the music will be loud for the Shropshire Party at Quarry Park this weekend.
The event, which starts at 5pm tonight and runs until 10pm and continues tomorrow from 11am to 11pm, has attracted some of the county’s most popular bands.
People are encouraged to get off work and celebrate the end of the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic and benefit from an amazing range of drinks and food.
There will be people who want bachelorette parties, birthday parties and just to have fun.
Local brewers, beverage makers and street vendors will be in attendance including Hobsons Brewery, Three Tuns Brewery, The Special Cider Company, The Shropshire Distillery, Gindifferent, Bob’s Curry Hut, Fordhall Farm, Mukaase Afro Caribbean Cuisine and more.
The Campaign for Real Ale will be running a bar featuring all of their favorite draft beers.
Hundreds of people will stream through the gates tonight and thousands tomorrow.
Fiber Heroes are sponsoring the music stage which will feature local favorites such as The Vertigo Band, Five oclock Hero, Krack On Band, Lost The Plot, Groove Dynamite, Dirty Rockin Scoundrels, Chasing August, Old Time Sailors and Something 4 The Weekend.
Beth Heath, 44-year-old Director of Fun at Shropshire Festivals, said: “This is the first time we have hosted a party at the park.
“So many people enjoyed Oktoberfest that we decided it would be good to have a summer festival and everything is geared towards people having a great time.
“There will be a comedy tent, a ‘jamaoke’, a silent disco and of course the big music stage.
“Throughout the weekend we expect between 6,000 and 8,000 people who will come to the park and join in the fun.
“Shropshire Festivals have loads of fun including a bungee run, ax throwing, human foosball and a bull rodeo.
