Eric E Bosch was appointed President and CEO of LaPorte Chartered Accountant and Business Advisor.

Bosch joined LaPorte in 1990 and has held various leadership positions throughout the company.

Former President and CEO Ted Mason will remain with the company and focus on supporting the industry group’s strategy and customer development.

LaPorte is one of the largest independent accounting and business consulting firms in the region with more than 190 employees located in offices in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Covington, Houma and Houston.

Vanessa Levin was recently promoted to Executive Vice President of Housing Development and Executive Director of Renaissance Neighborhood Development Corp.

Previously, she served as Development Manager for Renaissance for five years before being promoted to Development Manager, where she served an additional five years. Levine is also a licensed architect and has worked for various firms on senior housing and affordable housing projects in Northern California for nearly seven years.

the Young Leadership Council has appointed its Board of Directors for 2022.

The Board of Directors is headed by the President Andreas Koehler, from Intralox. Yelena McCloskey, from IberiaBank/First Horizon, will serve as Past President, with Patrick Hernandez, of Propeller and Roulaison Distilling, as President-elect.

Two new board members will join the committee: Blake Eckert, of Sev1Tech, will serve as Vice President of Communications and Erica Sensenbrenner, von Adams, and Reese will serve as general counsel. Filling out the ranks of the board are josie delaune, by Sev1Tech as Vice President of Membership; Gavin Pitre, by Lucid as Treasurer; Esteban Largaespada, of Online Optimism as Vice President for Projects; and Lauren Michael, of Tulane University, as vice president for development.

Michelle Wales was hired as Director of Development for New Orleans Women’s and Children’s Home.

A New Orleans native, Wales has 10 years of fund development experience and founded her own consulting firm, Right Words, in 2016. Through her business, she is contacted by agencies and organizations to provide compliance management of funded projects, monitor budgets, maintain records and nurture partnerships with funders.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from LSU and a master’s degree in public administration from Southern University.

Patrick Johnson Jr. was appointed Managing Partner of the New Orleans office Akerman.

Johnson remains a partner in the bankruptcy and reorganization practice group. He focuses on commercial disputes, bankruptcy, liquidation, credit restructuring and collections.

Ryan Gootee General Contractor, from Metairie, recently hired two former summer interns.

Jake Hammant and Jake Rando are now full-time project engineers.

Baton Rouge

Eric J. Warden was appointed a member for a three-year term Board of the Baton Rouge General Foundation.

Waechter is a resident director and wealth management advisor to Merrill Lynch. He has also served on the boards of the Charles W. Lamar Jr. YMCA and the Louisiana Resource Center for Educators.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from LSU.

Ginger Laurent was elected Chief Executive Officer by the Louisiana Bankers Association The board of directors.

Laurent has been with the association for almost 22 years and has served as Chief Operating Officer for the last 14 years. Prior to joining the association, she was a banker in the Acadiana market for nearly 16 years. Laurent is the first elected CEO in the association’s 122-year history.

Laurent succeeds Bob Taylor, who retired on December 31 after serving as CEO since 2007.

dr O’Neil “Jay” Parenton was elected chief of medical staff for a one-year term women’s hospitalthe highest elected leadership position among medical staff.

He is a practicing obstetrician and gynecologist at Louisiana Women’s Healthcare.

Parenton graduated from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica and completed his residency in obstetrician-gynecology at the LSU Health Sciences Center in Baton Rouge.

Kinchen also serves as planning and zone chair for the City of Albany and as a member of the Livingston Parish Master Planning Committee representing District 9.

  • Markusspender was promoted to partner. Before joining Bernhard in 2015,spender was Managing Director in Credit Suisse’s Global Industrials Group. During his more than 15 years in investment banking,spender focused on a variety of industrial sub-sectors including engineering, construction, building products, building materials and industrial distribution. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with honors from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
  • Catherine Cusimano was promoted to rector. Before joining Bernhard, Cusimano was a vice president at HPS Investment Partners in New York. Earlier in her career, Cusimano was an associate in the E&P equity research team at Capital One Securities. She earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics and a master’s degree in management in energy, both from Tulane University’s AB Freeman School of Business.
  • Bryan Poppler was promoted to rector. Prior to being hired by Bernhard, Poppler was a senior analyst at Stephens in Dallas. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and a bachelor’s degree in economics with financial applications from Southern Methodist University.
  • Chris Ringwald was promoted to rector. Before joining Bernhard, Ringswald was an Associate at Stellus Capital Management in Houston, an Associate in the Strategic Planning Group at Seneca Resources Corp. and Analyst in the Global Energy Investment Banking Group at RBC Capital Markets. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from LSU.
  • Jason Badeaux was promoted to Senior Associate. Before being hired by Bernhard, Badeaux was an analyst at Simmons & Co. International, Piper Sandler’s power and energy investment banking group in Houston. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from LSU.

Jerry Knight joined danos as General Manager Project Services.

Prior to joining Danos, Knight worked at Williams for almost 14 years where he held various positions, most recently as Technical Service Manager for the Gulf of Mexico. Before Williams, he worked at Occidental Chemical Corp. for 16 years.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from LSU.

Danos also rose Nicole Williams to Marketing and Communications Manager.

Williams, who has nearly 30 years of marketing experience, joined Danos in 2008 and previously served as the company’s external communications director.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern State University.
