CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — Moto Zoo partners with Trail Hero to highlight the natural beauty and accessibility of off-road riding in Southern Utah. Get some red sand in your shoes and check out all they have to offer all week long in Sand Hollow.
The Moto Zoo has been the destination for powersports in Southern Utah for 15 years. Customers will find new and used Can-Am, Polaris, Sea-Doo and Roxor ATVs, UTVs and personal watercraft in their showroom along with a large inventory of parts and accessories.
“Southern Utah is our backyard, so we’re definitely enthusiasts,” said general manager Ken Peterson. “We also have the weather and climate here for almost year-round entertainment, between personal watercraft in the summer and ATVs and UTVs all year round.”
The dealer also offers a comprehensive service department to assist with adjustments, repairs and ongoing maintenance. The Moto Zoo team values the opportunity to form long-term relationships with off-road enthusiasts in the community, Peterson said, and they do so by providing the best customer service available.
The sales team works closely with several banks and credit unions in the St. George area, as well as with the manufacturers themselves, to help fund purchases. They also accept trade-ins for used machines. At the apparel end of the store, customers can find all the gear they need – boots, pads, clothing, helmets, goggles and more – to outfit themselves and their machines for safe riding.
Moto Zoo is a local family business. Aaron Smith, the company’s President, began working in powersports at the age of 17 and founded Moto Zoo to set a new standard in the industry.
The Seventh Annual Trail Hero is a week-long event featuring five days of guided trail rides, a golf tournament, parties, concerts and more, all in a family-oriented atmosphere. Whether you come for the day or stay for everything, it’s the most fun you can have on four wheels.
With five days of action, up to 43 trails per day and 138 trails in total during the week, there really is something for everyone. Terrain ranges from mild to wild, inviting owners of stock 4×4s and hardcore rock crawlers alike to experience exciting new adventures.
Trail Hero organizers want to highlight community support for military veterans and improve access to public lands for children and adults with disabilities. ATVs serve as their legs, an extension of their bodies, giving them the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of southern Utah through motorized access.
Visit the Moto Zoo booth at Base Camp Wednesday through Saturday to bag swag and test drive or ride the latest machines from Can-Am and Polaris. Moto Zoo will be offering ATV and UTV demos throughout the week and sponsoring the VIP ride with special needs access on Tuesday mornings.
This is the third year they have been involved with Trail Hero, which Peterson says is the perfect event to show off-road enthusiasts from across the country the extraordinary wilderness of southern Utah.
“Utah is very friendly to the off-road world and we have some of the greatest recreational areas I’ve ever experienced,” he added.
New this year is Trail Hero Music Fest, featuring three days of high-energy concerts by country and rock artists. Tickets start at $60 for a day pass, and veterans get in free.
“Between the rock crawl, the music festival, raffles, the scavenger hunt, lots of swag and giveaways, VIP rides, a Movie on the Rocks and bonfires, there’s something for everyone,” said Peterson.
