Logan Paul is facing backlash on Twitter over a specific segment from a podcast episode he did with comedian Andrew Schulz — but he doesn’t take the flak too seriously.
YouTube star Logan Paul is no stranger to being the subject of public outrage — and that’s exactly what’s happening to him all over Twitter right now.
The hashtags ‘#loganpaulisoverparty’ and ‘#respectzayn’ take over the app as users disparage the eldest Paul brother while showing their support for singer Zayn Malik.
For those confused about the merger, the issue stems from a June 14 episode of Andrew Schulz’s Flagrant 2 podcast, in which the two stars sat down to talk about their lives and current events.
Logan Paul is a YouTuber, aspiring professional boxer, and businessman who recently launched his own sports drink alongside fellow influencer KSI.
During the interview, the crew addressed the recent drama surrounding former 1D star Zayn Malik, who was sentenced to 360 days of probation after allegedly hitting his ex-partner Gigi Hadid’s mother last year.
Schulz specifically called Zayn “the guy who beat up Gigi Hadid or whatever,” before correcting his statement with “don’t hit her — damn her mom or whatever.”
“You can’t hit a girl’s mom!” Schulz continued, pointing out a joke one of her co-hosts made: “This guy said, ‘It’s cultural.'”

One Direction fans are now taking to Twitter to voice their grievances about the pair, with many commenters calling the statement “racist”.
Being a “comedian” is no excuse for being racist. Racism is far too normal in the music industry.

Logan Paul Responds to Outrage Over Zayn Malik Joke
Despite the outrage, Logan Paul seems to be taking it easy, even tweeting that his “favorite One Directioner is Charlie Puth.”

This isn’t the first time Paul has faced the wrath of One Direction fans in recent months; In fact, the Directioners first trended the term “LoganPaulisoverparty” on Twitter in May after former band member Liam Payne appeared on an episode of Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast.
For now, Schulz has yet to comment on the backlash to his own show…but until he does, you can catch up on the latest celebrity and influencer news here at Dexerto.
