Local residents disembark to discover ‘Innisfil’ during weekend car rally and scavenger hunt (6 photos)

Residents were out and about this weekend checking out some of Innisfil’s hot spots and landmarks as part of the second annual Discover Innisfil Car Rally and Scavenger Hunt.

A total of 33 teams registered for the event and raised $430 for the Innisfil Food Bank.

At the event, teams followed clues to various attractions and businesses across the city while taking selfies and submitting them online for points. Bonus points were awarded to those who also shopped at participating local businesses.

There were 70 stops planned, but participating teams only had to solve a clue and take a selfie at one location to be entered into a drawing for door prizes donated by participating companies.

Event organizer Jennifer Richardson announced the winning teams on Sunday evening:

  1. Team Amazing
  2. Hampton encore
  3. Wilkinson warrior
  4. Phoenix Flyer

Each participating team received a handcrafted Richardson keychain.

“A big thank you to all the teams and companies that supported our Discover Innisfil Car Rally and Scavenger Hunt,” Richardson said in a social media post. “It was so much fun yesterday meeting people and putting names to faces.”

Richardson’s next big event is in June for local graduates.

Every Tuesday, she and her family also host Kahoot Trivia Nights and Family Bingo. To find out more, visit their Facebook page here.
