James Bay said, “Independent venues have played an irreplaceable role in my career from the start. From my first days of open mic nights to my first tours and beyond.

“The Castle Hotel in Manchester was one of my favorite shows on my very first solo headline tour.

“I remember the beautiful wooden interior of the room, the beautiful light over the stage and the magical silence that fell into such a special room as I fitted into the quieter songs on the set.”

James Bay played a special Hertfordshire show at Home Farm, Elstree earlier this year.

The singer said, “This summer I played at Home Farm, a new outdoor venue in a beautiful little clearing, right next to a small farm outside of North London.

“It was such a special experience. I went on stage as the final summer sun was falling through the leaves above, it was pretty emotional how good it felt to finally be with some of my fans again.

“I hope I can return to the Home Farm to do this show again!”

“I loved performing the way I started, just me and my guitar.

“I wrote so much new music during the pandemic that I’ll be trying out a lot of new songs on this tour. I can barely wait for it!”
