Hyundai Venue N Line launch is imminent: what to expect?

Hyundai Venue N Line would come in two flavors and offer better handling. It would also receive cosmetic updates to set it apart from the regular model.

Just this month we saw Hyundai roll out the 2022 facelift of its compact SUV Venue. With the update, the Venue got a new look and some more features inside. However, Hyundai doesn’t plan on stopping just yet as they plan to launch the N-Line avatar of the venue in the coming months. Prices for the 2022 Hyundai Venue start at Rs 7.53 lakh and go up to Rs 12.57 lakh. The N Line avatar could be north of Rs 11 lakh (all prices are ex showroom).

The N-Line recipe

Hyundai cars with the N-Line badge are geared for performance and the first N-Line vehicle we got in India was the i20 N-Line in September 2021. Just last month we also saw how the Creta N-Line appeared on the international market. While it may be a while before we get this vehicle, the launch of the Venue N Line is much closer. We believe the Venue N Line will be offered in two trim levels. The i20 N Line is available in N6 and N8 configurations and the same will most likely be the case for the Venue N Line. Of course, there could be single and two-tone options for both variants, giving customers even more choices.

Exterior changes to the Hyundai Venue N Line

As for the exterior changes, the car keeps the same overall design but could increase the amount of black finishes to make it look sportier. The N-Line badging would be visible on the grille, sides and tailgate. We also expect Hyundai to spray paint the lower part of the front bumper and the sides with a splash of red. Other changes would include a redesigned front bumper and a stylish dual-tipped exhaust.

Changes inside the Hyundai Venue N Line

On the inside, the cabin retains the same features and layout as the regular Venue, but comes with an all-black color scheme with red accents on the seats and certain parts of the door and dashboard. N-Line insignia will also appear on the inside. Apart from that, there will also be features of the regular Venue like the 8-inch infotainment system, connected car features, power driver seats and more.

Hyundai Venue N Line powertrain

Venue N Line comes only with the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 118 peak horsepower and 172 Nm peak torque. As for transmission options, the regular Venue is offered with either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT. It looks like Hyundai will skip the iMT gearbox for the N-Line models and only offer it with a DCT. Just like the i20 N Line, the Venue N Line could be treated with a retuning of the suspension and steering to deliver more feel and feedback, which in turn makes it safer at higher speeds. The regular Venue only gets disc brakes up front, but the N Line would have disc brakes on all four wheels.
