An alligator handler spoke out in favor of the deadly animal that nearly killed her in an attack recently.
Lindsay Bull was caught wrestling with the alligator at a children’s birthday party in a video that went viral on social media.
It shows the woman who works at the Scales & Tails reptile center in Utah screaming with the alligator clamping its jaw on her hand.
ALLIGATOR TRADERS JUMP IN WATER TANK TO GET A BETTER GRIP
Lindsay’s noisy wrestling match with the 2.5-meter-long reptile – whose name is Darth Gator – occurred after the animal “mistook” her hand for food during feeding time.
She told Utah’s Deseret News, “For all he knew it was a piece of chicken so he grabbed it.”
The clip shows Lindsey and the crocodile rummaging around in the animal’s water tank while the children watched in horror.
But Lindsay – who revealed that she jumped in the tank to “get a better grip” – claims that her earlier years as a gymnast helped her fight off the animal and prevent more serious injury or even death.
“That’s a common thing in gymnastics that you spin around while flipping, and that’s exactly what it was – I dropped my shoulder like you do a flip,” she told Inside Edition.
Eventually Lindsay was rescued by one of the children’s fathers, who distracted the alligator and gave her a window to escape.

‘I LOVE HIM. HE IS LIKE A MEMBER OF MY FAMILY ‘
And although she underwent emergency surgery to save her hand, Lindsay says she has nothing but love for the animal.
“Oh, I love him. He’s like a member of my family. Everyone loves Darth. “
She also defended the alligator against requests to remove it from the amusement park.
“We will fight as long as possible to keep him. As long as he is in our care and it is our choice, no consequences will happen to him. He just did what an animal does. I know as long as we have him he’s safe.
“He’s just had a bad day.”
