Chicago Party Aunt co-creator Chris Witaske is returning to the Windy City this weekend to talk about his popular Chicago-based Netflix show.
Witaske, Illinois and longtime Chicago comedy veteran, said in a Twitter post that he will be at the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo on December 11th to “talk all about the Chicago Party Auntie.”
The adult animated series on Netflix, which aired its first eight episodes on September 17th, is based entirely on a popular and provocative Twitter account.
The show will be produced by “Saturday Night Live” author Katie Rich and “Superstore” actor Jon Barinholtz, both of whom have strong ties to the Chicago comedy scene.
“Superstore” star and Second City alumna Lauren Ash announced on social media that she will be the lead character on Chicago Party Aunt, whose Twitter bio reads “If Life Gives You Lemons, Spin It” [expletive] in Mike’s Hard Lemonade. ”

“Chicago Party Aunt” announced the upcoming show on social media with one tweet that read “Holy [expletive]! Netflix just bought the rights to my life! Does anyone have a password that I can borrow? ”
Over the years, the Chicago Party Aunt Twitter account has gained over 60,000 followers, where she shares her opinion on Chicago events and news from the area.
